I took this opprtunity to re-do my blog. I went and changed the layout/theme. I played around with some of the colors and also the fonts. I like my blog a lot better now so I am glad that I had the time to do this!
I am happy with my project. I kind of wish I had done a storybook after reading so many awesome storybook projects! But I think that the portfolio works nicely for me and my current crazy busy schedule. I don't have to commit to one story and I do enjoy that!
My favorite reading so far is Apuleius's Cupid and Psyche. When I have time I am going to go read the second half of that story, maybe do a story of my own and continue with Psyche's diary.
I think that my biggest accomplishment for my writing particularly is just learning how to be more concise while still giving enough details to move the story along. That is something I have always struggled with. I use my reading notes to go in depth and write pretty much anything I want in regards to that story. I don't usually look back at my reading notes but I think that the reading notes help me in a different way than they are intended. By using my reading notes as a sort of brain dump, I am able to mentally filter out what is and isn't important when it comes to writing a story.
This is my favorite image I have used. I just like it because I think it describes me on a daily basis (i'm not a morning person). It also describes how I felt about this class initially. It was confusing and seemed like a lot of work because it was unfamiliar and unlike any course has ever been laid out. Now, I really enjoy the course and it has been my favorite online class I have taken at OU!
I don't think there is anything more I want or need going forward. This course is awesome and is so flexible. There are plenty of readings to choose from and I really feel like there is something there for everyone.
